The primary lessons learned through years of professional consultation in large and small engagements are applied rigorously to each of these three services. This discipline may appear self-obvious but the actions are often not employed in the rush to ‘do something’, only to cause problems later:

1.     Establish with the client the goals for the engagement and assure they are aligned with the business strategy.
2.     Trust the client’s representation of the issues and possible solutions then verify with a thorough assessment.
3.     Conduct a design session to set activities based on the assessment findings, with a sufficiently detailed project plan.
4.     Implement the plan, testing progress along the path.
5.     Assess impact of the intervention toward the end of the contract and set a plan to sustain benefits and improve continuously.
